Governance Institute is pleased to offer a complimentary web listing service for Not-for-Profit organisations requiring assistance in their governance practices. Many NFP organisations would benefit from help from qualified Governance Institute members and we encourage members to offer their support.

So Brave (Australia’s Young Women’s Breast Cancer Charity), based in Brisbane, Queensland, is seeking a number of volunteer Not-for-profit Board roles to assist with fundraising/philanthropic giving, marketing, young women’s advocacy and clinical or healthcare sector expertise. Your commitment will include 10 Board meetings annually plus 23 annual strategy sessions (outside of normal work hours), Brisbane based meetings but ability to dial in. Council on the Ageing Queensland, based in Brisbane, Queensland, is seeking a volunteer Non-Executive Director to assist with developing and driving broad strategic goals; actively engaging with networks to identify opportunities and build connections; identifying and developing opportunities for growing the business sustainably; advising and supporting the Chief Executive in line with your experience and expertise. Your commitment will include attendance at board meetings held 68 times a year and participation in committees / working parties that meet as required. Speech Pathology Australia, is currently seeking two Voluntary Independent (External) Directors to join our existing Board of Directors. One of these positions will be sought from suitable applicants who identify as having an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander background. The successful candidate’s expected commitment will include attending quarterly Board of Director meetings (held Friday afternoon / evening and Saturday) and additional one hour virtual meetings, where required. Further information regarding the role and responsibilities is available via our website. Lower North Shore Community Transport Inc, based in Crows Nest, NSW, is seeking a volunteer Chair of the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee to assist the Management Committee (board) to effectively discharge its responsibilities for financial reporting, internal accounting controls, internal and external audit functions, and compliance and risk management systems. We are seeking an independent, skilled professional with accounting and financial/risk management experience. Your commitment will include meeting at least four times a year. Meetings may be held in person, by teleconference or other use of technology. The Stepping Out Program is seeking volunteer Board Members with skills and experience in the psychology of sexual assault, the medical profession, social policy, program development and service delivery, marketing and promotion, legal, governance and/or fundraising. The Board meets via videoconference every 4 weeks and Board members also participate in various committees and working groups as needed. Board members should expect to commit approximately 5‒10 hours per month. Sydney Fringe, based in Sydney, New South Wales is seeking a volunteer Company Secretary to assist with the administration and legal functions of the Association. Your commitment will include monthly meetings which are held the second Wednesday of the month, from 8pm.
