Many NFP organisations would benefit from help from qualified Governance Institute members and we encourage members to offer their support.

The Arts Law Centre of Australia (Arts Law), based in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a volunteer Governance Consultant to conduct an external Board Performance Review. Your commitment will require you to undertake a comprehensive Board performance review including a survey together with more in-depth interviews with the Directors. CBM Australia, a registered charity based in Box Hill, Victoria is seeking 2 non-executive directors to join a highly capable Board. Expenses and agreed professional development are covered. Specific competencies sought in Human Resources (including Gender and Safeguarding) or in International Development. Being passionate about disability inclusion is expected. The ability to model, encourage and participate in a Christian environment is also sought. Commitments are board meetings (5 per annum in Melbourne) and remote Committee meeting (up to 8 per annum) attendance. All Together Now (ATN) based in Sydney, with a pan Australian presence is an independent, secular, non-partisan not-for-profit organisation that was established in 2010. ATN's vision is for a racially equitable Australia. ATN seeks a volunteer Company Secretary to help with its corporate governance and company secretarial obligations. Your commitment would be attending 4-6 Board meetings per year (held over video conference), taking minutes and action items, assisting with the Annual General Meeting and ad-hoc governance work. Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Co-operative (VINC), is seeking a Co-operative Secretary. VINC propagates and supplies local native indigenous plants to local and other government agencies for bushland re-vegetation. VINC is a not-for-profit co-operative run by the Board of Management and has both paid staff and volunteers. Currently Over 600 individuals, organisation and businesses belong. Interested? Parkinson's Queensland Incorporated based in Brisbane, is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join its Management Committee. The role's primary responsibility is to lead the financial strategy of the organisation and ensure financial sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation focused on providing education, information and support to people impacted by Parkinson's across Queensland. Your financial expertise will help round off a diverse and committed Management Committee looking to drive growth and success of the organisation. Your committee meets once a month from 4.30pm top 6pm (in person or via Zoom). There is an additional 1-2 hours a fortnight of work behind the scenes working through financials and preparing the Treasurer's report.
