Non-Executive Director & Company Secretary — Future Foundations (Melbourne—VIC), is a charity based in Melbourne VIC and is seeking a volunteer non-executive director and company secretary who has a commercial mind, a governance mindset and strong desire to help make a difference to culturally and linguistically young people in Victoria. We are looking for a candidate who has a high level of integrity, has good governance knowledge and the ability to create processes to ensure compliance; available to attend up to 12 board meetings a year by phone or virtual hang out space; has commercial acumen and is a clear communicator. Director — Monkami (Melbourne—VIC) is a values driven, not for profit, NDIS registered, disability service provider located in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are now seeking to appoint two new directors. In particular, one with financial management/accounting qualifications and experience to contribute to the board as treasurer; another with a with a strong governance and risk background to chair the board’s governance and risk committee. Company Secretary — The National Justice Project (Surry Hills—NSW) is seeking a company secretary to provide secretariat support to the CEO and the board on a voluntary basis. Governance Professional — The Anglican Diocese of the Anglican Church (North Adelaide—SA) Seeking expressions of interest from experienced governance professionals to complement the experience and skills of current members of its Risk and Audit Committee. The Diocesan Risk and Audit Committee is a voluntary advisory committee to the governing body of the Diocese and usually meets four times per year in the late afternoon in North Adelaide. Its primary function is to assist the Diocese to fulfil its responsibilities concerning effective financial management, governance and monitoring of risks. Board Members — Zero Emissions Noosa Inc. (ZEN) (Noosa—QLD) is seeking expressions of interest for a passionate, skilled and enthusiastic people to help it achieve its vision: Zero net greenhouse gas emissions in the Noosa region by 2026.Board members need to: Be a member of ZEN Inc., attend monthly Board meetings (as required), be actively involved in a ZEN Inc. Action Group - ZEN E (Electricity) Action Group or Zen Transport Action Group (ZENTAG), be a member of one board sub-committee.
Selection Criteria: ZEN Inc. welcomes applications from people who demonstrate skills, experience or knowledge in at least one (and preferably more) of the following: knowledge of emissions reductions opportunities, PR/communications/media skills, in social media/electronic and print media, strategic policy development and implementation, behaviour change/change management, community engagement, income generation/fundraising/donor liaison/grant writing, administrative/secretarial skills, time available to commit to ZEN activities (approximately four hour per week). Company Secretary — Seafood Industry Australia (Sydney or Melbourne) Seeking an experienced company secretary on a voluntary part-time basis. Seafood Industry Australia is a member based organisaion, being the peak body for the seafood industry in Australia, established three years ago. We are looking for someone that can provide secretariat services to the board and to two committees of the board. Meetings are held quarterly, are approximately four hours in length and are held in either Melbourne or Sydney. Committee meetings regularly take place by teleconference.
