Volunteer governance opportunities
Governance Institute is pleased to offer a complimentary web listing service for Not-for-Profit organisations requiring assistance in their governance practices. Many NFP organisations would benefit from help from qualified Governance Institute members and we encourage members to offer their support.

Battle for Australia (NSW) Inc. is seeking a volunteer Company Secretary based in Sydney.The principal aim of the Association is to commemorate and honour the sacrifice and service of members of the Australian armed services and civilians who defended Australia from invasion in 1942. The responsibilities of the Secretary include: Preparation of notices of committee meetings and the annual general meeting, preparation of minutes of meeting and distribution to members, making all arrangements for meetings, lodgement of the Annual Information Statement with the ACNC and other usual secretarial and compliance duties. There are usually four meetings of the committee and an annual general meeting of members each year. Meetings take place in the Sydney CBD and usually take 2 hours. Old Colonists’ Association of Victoria, based in Fitzroy North, Victoria, is seeking a volunteer Council (Board) member with clinical/gerontological expertise to assist with guiding and supporting the Council in fulfilling its resident welfare and clinical governance responsibilities. Your commitment will include 6-7 Council meetings per annum & membership of one committee. Meetings are held late Monday afternoons in Fitzroy North.
