2021 report to members

Our five-year strategy (2020–2025) remains central to the Board’s plans moving towards 2025 — a focused, high-level document that contains the vision, purpose, values and goals for our organisation.

It has been another challenging yet rewarding year for governance and risk professionals — with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and lockdowns deeply affecting organisations and the decisions that they make.

Governance and risk professionals continue to guide organisations through the challenging and dynamic environment that has presented for business in 2021. This has meant further adjustments to a dispersed workforce and a greater reliance on digital and technological solutions. As we end the year, governance and risk professionals are now looking to prepare for what the recovery phase looks like for the economy. This involves emerging challenges like the great resignation and existing but growing threats such as cybersecurity and shifting customer needs and preferences.

As a leading authority on governance and risk management, we’re confident that our advocacy, training and thought leadership guidance will continue to support you in your day-to-day role — now and into the future.
